It may be surprising to know that Egypt is much older than the pharaohs! After reading a little about the history of Egypt, you will know that Egypt has fossil sites dating back millions of years and that Egypt was part of the ocean floor. Our Trip will take you to this unique world on a wonderful visit to Wadi Al-Hitan and lake Qarun’s ancient sites to explore ancient whale fossils and learn about the stages of their development until they reached their current form.
Enjoying a tour around Lake Qarun and its scenic views and attractions such as the petrified forest, Qarun palace, the colored mountains, &Tunis Village. We will see the only waterfalls in Egypt at Wadi El-Rayan and enjoy seeing the mountains, dunes, and lake views from the outpost of Jabal Al Mudawara.
Pick up from your location after breakfast (at 7:00 am)
Start our trip via Cairo-Fayum desert road (around 70 miles southwest of Cairo).
After around one hour from Cairo, we arrive at Lake Qarun and stop by the lake to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, possibly enjoy watching birds such as the kingfisher, seagulls, and egrets.

Lunch by the lake
After lunch we explore:
Dimeh Al-Siba (ancient Roman city)
Continue our trip to Wadi El-Rayan & Wadi El-Hitan
Dinner at Wadi El-Hitan campsite.
Overnight camping at Wadi El-Hitan.
After Breakfast at the campsite, start exploring: The Climate change museum and the open-air fossils museum.
Continue our trip to the Mudawara mountain & the magic lake where we do Sandboarding.
Tour to Tunis village with a visit to Madame Evelyn‘s Pottery school.
Transfer back to Cairo and drop off at your hotel.
